the

We will burn
In the end
Our bodies will burn
To a crisp, to the bone,
No amend, no refund,
When it’s began,
It is over,
It is done,
No going back,
No backbone,
No one is brave
Inside the grave,
Have you ever heard the courageous chant
Of the cadaver that remained rotty? Outrageous valiant,
Our fathers we will bury
With the bliss of infant fury,
Ours’, our friends’ and our owns’ owns’
Decaying by the pounds, disappearing by the ounces,
At last Upanishads[1], the real heaven’s bar lies in the soil,
The waiting room, the prior to-,
the V.I.P. club, the euphoria turmoil-
before big-blasting from-, and getting-to,
this mortal coil,
“the great gig in the sky” right?
Never a Pink Floyd fan tho’,
I was one, always had death-fright,
Not just for me, but for loved ones on the worm-meal-row,
Also, I was never one who’d get the whole up-above,
Or the down-below,
To me it’s been always mid-here, or south-central,
Jesus Christ better not be vengeful or harsh-sentimental,
Or else my ass will burn, to the bone,
crisp and stuff, only metaphysical burn,
deep frying in hell for aeons all alone,
faith is a complicated mother,
heaven’s house for jealous lovers,
faith demands compromise and allows no significant-other.
I want, above all other, demands, needs, petitions,
To keep a perfect body, to remain a beautiful face,
A soul on fire inside a gorgeous corpse,
A good for nothing farce, an oral fixation much like Dorian Gray’s,
I hope that the soil: the flesh eats, and the bone absorbs,
And of us, thus, Alas, and by Oh! Almighty power from up-south-central nowhere,
Ultimately, the memoir of beautiful young shapes,
And nothing else, it is all they were,
For faith has taken it’s toll and given back it’s due: all the young dudes.

[1] Etymology; Upanishads literally means “sitting down beside”; merely the etymology of the word, although it has little to do with the actual meaning and reference for being a part of the Sanskirt literature, of Hindu scriptures. So after the whole whatever, translate to “sitting down beside”.
