Silly poem

It’s silly, really,
The tingly feeling you send up my spine
It feels nothing less then wonderful, and a lot more then fine,
It’s crazy cool, baby, it’s even chilly,
You go up, nudge by nudge,
You are my spinal ascent,
To the nucleus of the feelings of my body,
And it is not the heart,
The feeling that freezes my entire man,
And it is not love,
It is Xili, really,
The tingly feeling that will sub for love in the whole world,
It’s crazy beautiful, darling, it’s even really-
something I have felt, and not something I made up,
In any case, nudge by nudge,
You are the one making things up,
You make love escalate the Everest of my back,
You make love, and I make sighing sounds
And I’ve wondered,
And you don’t know
When I see you
How must it feel to escalate the nudges of the spine on your back,
One by one,
By hand,
I thee wed,
By God,
I swear,
One day,
I will,
Silly boy, I bet you think,
But it’s the silly boys who get the Xili girls in the end.

For María Auxiliadora... the best "maybe" I could ever hope for...
